Daniel in the Pub2Pub (Fun Run)

When Daniel was approached by his PE teacher, Mr Leigh Elsmore, to run with him in the Pub2Pub Fun Run, he couldn’t refuse.  Daniel has always wanted to experience the feel of the wind over his face and through his hair having never been able to run on his own – something we all take for granted.

So on Sunday, 25th August, with Leigh pushing Daniel in his wheelchair 13km from Dee Why to Newport, they are hoping to raise further awareness of the orangutans plight by asking everyone to sponsor them for the race.  All funds raised go toThe Orangutan Project’s Safeguard Program to protect the critically endangered orangutan.

Thank you Leigh for giving Daniel this amazing opportunity.  Daniel’s brother William will be an integral part of the support team making sure Daniel is OK throughout the race.  They are expecting it will take them about 90 minutes to complete the race.
