AMP Sales Conference at Luna Park

Daniel and William were guest speakers at AMP Banking’s Annual Sales conference which was held at Sydney’s Luna Park on Thursday.  The conference was a great success and they spoke in front of 50 of their senior management team about the plight of the critically endangered orangutan.

The event, which had a predominently Olympic theme started with Daniel and William’s father, Rodney Clarke, speaking of his experience as an Australian representative at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada.

The guests were taken by surprise when Rodney’s presentation on being an olympian, and his key to success in both his personal and professional life, suddenly took on a new direction by introducing his sons, Daniel and William, who then went on to speak about their quest and the subsequent ‘olympic sized effort’ they have applied to saving a species.

William said, “It was great to be a part of their conference as they were very appreciative of our talk.  I believe we made a good impression and hopefully inspired them to pass on the message that we can all make a difference.”

AMP Banking’s Managing Director, Mike Lawrence, was on hand to meet the Clarke Family after the event and receive a copy of their book.

“Rodney and I are really pleased that Daniel and William’s message, about the critically endangered orangutan, is not only reaching schools but now  corporate Australia is taking notice”, Penny said.  “The boys have also been asked to speak at the Pharmacy Guild of Australia Conference in October this year which they are looking forward to also”.

The Clarke Family presentation was a perfect fit for our ‘Olympic themed’ sales conference. With Daniel and William’s father Rodney Clarke representing Australia at the Winter Olympic Games in 1988, his introduction to Olympism was closely followed by his sons amazing achievements and tale of inspiration through their quest to save the orangutan. Daniel and William’s presentation was a surprise for everyone and the impact was incredible.

Daniel & William are two inspirational young Australians. Hearing their story made the entire team sit back and think about what they could do to make a positive difference…both in their work and in their life.
