YATZ at Taronga Zoo
Taronga Zoo’s popular YATZ program (Youth At The Zoo) asked if the boys were available to come and present their quest to save the orangutan to the group. So Daniel and William went along to speak at their awards night at the new Taronga Centenary Theatre which is an amazing 180 degree indoor amphitheater.
The YATZ group is a group of like minded youth who have a passion for animals, wildlife and conservation and are supported in their interest by the Zoo.William said, “It was an amazing evening and great to meet so many other people like ourselves who share in the care of our environment”. The YATZ team had so many questions for Dan and Will at the end of the evening and really were inspired for their persistence in saving the orangutan.
It was great to see the Zoo recognising the efforts of so many volunteers who contribute their time and effort towards educating and inspiring the visitors of the zoo. We also felt inspired by all their passion.
Thank you to the Taronga Education team (Juliana and Kerry) who invited us along to the evening.
