Art, was the Focus…
Inspired by the work of Daniel and William, more than 200 students from the John Colet School created art for an exhibition to raise awareness and funds for the critically endangered orangutan.
The exhibition, called ‘Painting Hope – a children’s rescue bid’ was organised by local artist Tryphena McShane in conjunction with the school and has also attracted the attention of local media.
The artwork and effort that has gone into the exhibition has been extraordinary and it was particularly enlightening to hear the kids talk about what they had learned about the orangutan and its environment.
The exhibition will run from 10th – 14th November and can be found at Artfocus Gallery, 1 Powells Road, Brookvale Sydney.
