EQI Global Schools Challenge 2021

Manager Study Tours, Michelle Cowell with Daniel and William

Education Queensland International (EQI) Study Tours is the largest study tour provider in Australia representing the Queensland Department of Education.  It welcomes many international student on short-term study tour programs.  With the impacts of COVID-19 these study tour programs have been replaced with virtual programs and Daniel and William were asked to be involved in this project this year as a topic of interest.

Using their quest as a case study the Global Schools Challenge (GSC) encourages Queensland Government schools to collaborate with overseas schools through online progress based learning by using their quest to address three key themes;

  1. Cultural Leadership
  2. Environmental Sustainability
  3. Entrepreneurship

The virtual event encourages groups of High School Students from around the world to focus on global issues.  This event helps all students to collaborate, recognising differences between their cultures, and gaining skills in problem solving, critical thinking and becoming a responsible global citizen.

Daniel and William recorded an interview with the EQI staff covering all aspects of their quest and focusing on the three key themes.

Thank you to the team of EQI for giving us the opportunity to spread even more awareness of the orangutans plight and to inspire an international audience to take environmental action.
