Summary of their quest
Over the past 12 years Daniel and William have worked tirelessly to promote the issues facing the orangutans and used their own journey to inspire others to find their own quest and take action to achieve their own goals.
The brothers have raised in excess of $900,000, sponsored over 100 orangutans and protected over 50,000 hectares of orangutan habitat. Together they have written two best selling books on their quest to save the orangutan which have now been incorporated into the NSW Department of Education as an education module in the curriculum. They regularly talk with students and corporates around Australia and have addressed more than 80,000 people about their journey.
The boys body of work has been recognised by US President Barack Obama, Primatologist Dr Jane Goodall and natural historian Sir David Attenborough for their continued conservation work.
