In the countdown to the National Pride of Australia awards which are being held this Saturday (27th October) in Sydney, Daniel and William have appeared in this weeks Sunday Telegraph TV Guide with Channel Ten’s Newsreader, Sandra Sully.

Every time Daniel and William appear in the media their orangutan cause takes one more step forward. Those who didn’t know about the critically endangered orangutan are now informed, and those who already knew, start taking action.

After Daniel and William were awarded the NSW Pride of Australia Medal (Environment category) in August their nomination has now been raised to the next level which is Nationals (still in the Environment Category).

There is also the ‘People’s Choice’ award which, if they win, they will receive $10,000 to go towards their favourite charity.  Daniel and William have nominated The Orangutan Project’s Safeguard Program as their charity of choice as they know this money will protect 33,000 acres of orangutan habitat in Borneo.

If you would like to see the Pride of Australia Medal National Ceremony, it will be televised on Digital Channel One, 9pm, Saturday evening, 27th October (This Saturday!)

Thank you to everyone who voted for the boys – they have been truly overwhelmed with support from everyone and it has touched them deeply.  We will find out on Saturday the result and will let you all know !!
