DAY 1 – ORANGUTAN COUNTRY TOUR

Nowra Kia – Eddie Tomlin

We quickly dropped in to see Nowra’s favourite Kia dealer, Eddie Tomlin, to show him the car and to give him a copy of Daniel and William’s book. It was great to be able to call in and seen him and show the guys at Kia Nowra the fantastic car that Kia Motors have loaned us with all the magnificent sign-writing.

Vincentia Public School Turns out in style !!

Day 1 of Daniel and William’s Country NSW School Talk Tour was an amazing success after being warmly welcomed by Vincentia Public School (VPS) with open arms (Vincentia is down near Jervis Bay – a most beautiful location).

They changed their sign at the front of their school to say “Welcome Daniel and William”, (of course as proud parents we had to stop and take a photo!! – Inset in main photo).

The whole school turned out in style to hear Daniel and William’s new orangutan presentation and video – it was a huge success and thanks to the magnificent organisational skills of Marg Pike and Nicki Kennedy (and we are sure there were more) they organised a successful lunch for the our entire family, attended by members and guests, who paid to attend in order to raise money to save the orangutan.

Combined with a raffle and other fund raising ventures Vincentia PS raised a total of $550 for orangutan conservation and habitat protection – ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Daniel and William were on hand to receive the funds on behalf of The Orangutan Project (photo’d with Marg Pike and Nicki Kennedy).

The kids were saying to Daniel and William how much they appreciated them coming down to visit them all the way from Sydney. William said, “They were such a great group of kids to present to and the questions were really well thought out.”

A BIG thank you to everyone at Vincentia Public School – what a magnificently motivated group of people.

We hope you enjoyed Daniel and William’s presentation…
