More rainforest protected

People have been ordering Daniel and William’s book from all over Australia as well as overseas (as far away as London!).

Parents, Teachers, Grandparents and even kids as young as 8 years old have emailed Daniel and William with messages of support for their cause.

The boys have received requests from book stores across Australia who are eagerly signing up to stock their book and get behind the boys quest. ABC Book Shops, Collins, Dymocks, independent book stores and many more have rallied to support them.

Through the generous support of ABC’s Australian Story viewers, Daniel and William are really pleased to announce they have been able to sponsor over 6,600 acres of Bornean Rainforest through The Orangutan Project’s – Safeguard Program. (See photo of them holding the certificate)

Even though there is still a long way to go to save the Orangutan and their habitat, Daniel and William are now more determined after receiving letters, emails and phone calls of overwhelming support from everyone all over Australia. People located in cities, the country areas and even people on cattle stations, right in the middle of Australia, two hours drive from their post box, wanted a copy of their book – thank you everyone.

Did you know?

We are losing 6% of the world’s forests every year.

That the destruction of rainforest causes more green-house gases than all the transport systems in the world combined.
